Thank you to everyone from all the kangaroos
and thank you to everyone for their interest in, and support of, Sponsoroo

E-mail msrowe@bigpond.com Acknowledgements: There have been many helpers with the establishment and continuity of Sponsoroo and I’m sure there will be more to come. So far, I would very much like to thank, in chronological order:- Carol Winn in UK for initially having the idea in the year 2000 of wanting to sponsor a kangaroo as a gift. Viva! UK, for initially contacting me then about a sponsorship program. Please see their website on "Links" Page. Different people for speaking about their feelings for kangaroos and their opinions about feelings and attitudes of Australians, in general. Many used to see kangaroos as a pest. It wasn’t until they had something more personal to do with kangaroos that they realised the individuality and depth of these beautiful beings and began to think more carefully about the wellbeing of kangaroos. Nicole Houghton, from Wade's Pharmacy in Leeton, for all the careful work in printing the photos. Graeme Collins, a friend and printer, who did some printing for us for much less cost than normal. Maryland Wilson for her continuing undivided devotion, tireless work and campaigning for YEARS for kangaroos, (if she had been working for an organisation helping humans, she would have been knighted by now!) Also thanks for her support and encouragement for Sponsoroo and for printing articles in the magazine for Australian Wildlife Protection Council. (Please find a copy of each of the books "The Kangaroo BETRAYED" and "Kangaroos Myths and Realities" for which Maryland is responsible. They will certainly open your eyes to the situation for kangaroos. Please see on Links Page the AWPC website.) Elsie Quinn, David Croft, Pat O'Brien, Richard Jones, Halina Thompson, Teresa Buss-Carden and so many others for their support and continuing work for kangaroos. There are a number of people who work very hard, as individuals or within groups, for the protection of kangaroos, thank you all so much. So very many thanks to Elsie Quinn for her work and incredible generosity. Jackie Fitzgerald, was our homoeopath who is mentioned throughout the profiles written about the kangaroos. Unfortunately Jackie died in November 2005. However now Jane Singleton is our homoeopath. She has been wonderful, so patient and offers lovingly her help and knowledge. Thank you to Jane. Thank you too so much to Christine who helps Jane and who co-owns their clinic, Pet Power. Josie Marks and Jacqui Walsh, who generously gave their time to help with the establishment of this website. Willem van Tuil has been extremely helpful with providing technical support to get our website online. He is the technical manager of our web hosting provider, Oznet One. (Please see Links page for Oznet One's website). The Sponsoroo contacts in other countries, Susie James UK, Martin Ebel Canada and USA and Marion Drechsel in Germany for being there and passing on messages between Sponsors and me. All the wonderfully generous people who have showed interest and support and who have sponsored and financially contributed. Thank you so much for your interest and affinity with kangaroos. Mark Rowe, (Rowie) husband extraordinaire, for all his contributions. Our son, Jonti, for waiting about for his Mum to do something more interesting than Sponsoroo work! And of course the kangaroos, who offer so much love and trust and who fill my life with blessings. It is such an honour to work with them and get to know them." With the hope, dear ones, that we can improve the situation for all members of your species by gaining protection and obtaining the freedom, country and life that should be rightfully yours." |
Humans need to wake up, realise, comprehend and embrace the pure, unequivocal depth and beauty of kangaroos.
